I race a 2001 Suzuki GSXR-600 at Willow Springs International Raceway. The factory put a damper on the bike in line with the lower triple clamp. While fine for street use, it did leave room for improvement. Casein point, when I would crest turn 6 at Willow I would get a light tank slap. It would be over before I would realize what it was. Then I installed the Scotts Performance steering damper, the installation is fairly easy and I took some familiarization laps to dial the damper in. The sweet aspect of this damper is that I could make my adjustments as I was riding on the straights of the track. I did not have to stop and make my changes and I was able to get instant feedback from my tests. After a couple of laps, I found the spot on the damper that I felt was good for the track. The little tank slap was gone!

Even after a year of use it functions just as it did the day I put it on.
